I’ve decided that it’s time to expand out of my comfort zone a little.  I’ve been perfectly happy creating materials for my students, using literacy related activities, and incorporating skills into games.  I’ve been keeping an eye on all of the useful and effective iPad ideas, though, and I’ve decided I want in!!  So I created my first project request: iSpeech, iLanguage, iPads!

I love the concept of DonorsChoose!  I’ve actually donated to several projects for special education teachers in my district and will continue to do so.  The concept is basic and brilliant!  I’m a glass-half-full kind of girl, so I am eagerly anticipating the use of an iPad 2 to introduce my students to new and engaging speech/language therapy lessons!  🙂

I encourage you to check out DonorsChoose.com for yourself.  What’s on your wish list? Maybe you need a set of books to incorporate in therapy, or some new articulation games?  I really like the idea of using TimeForKids with my older students.  Sometimes our traditional funding sources are wiped clean and this is a great approach to funding projects for our students.

I’d love to hear from you!!  What projects have you had funded recently?  What is on your wish list?  Is there a therapy tool you’d love to get your hands on?
