That little old lady is up to it again!

Oh wow, it’s been a long time since I made my way over to my own blog!  Too long!  Between all of my on-the-job “Speechologist” responsibilities, the hectic madness of a new school year, the spillover of data documentation, and being a mom to three busy little learners…I am just trying to keep my head above water!  In my tiny little moments to relax I’ve been cheering on my beloved FSU Seminoles and have started running again.  There’s nothing like a little mix of BonJovi, Pink, JT, and Darius Rucker to get me moving 🙂

I am so relieved to have finally found some moments to get back to my blog.  I love being able to take a step back and examine my therapy day. It allows me to open my therapy doors and give you a chance to peek inside…I hope you will share your ideas too.

So what have we been busy doing the past several weeks?  My language, articulation, and communication groups all enjoyed the antics of the little old lady and her pile of leaves!

We have been on a nature walk, practiced our articulation sounds, played related games, learned conversation strategies, and completed a sound search using story-based articulation words.  We used story vocabulary and concepts to sort items into categories.  WH- Questions focused on content from the story of leaves, the farm, pumpkins, and sneezing.  We used descriptive language of categories, location, size, color, function, and action to compare/contrast thematic vocabulary.  See, I told ya we were busy!

WOW!  This is just a snapshot of what we’ve been doing.  You can check out the packet at my TPT store here.  I really appreciate all of the support!

What Fall-based lessons were you teaching?  I love to hear from others!
