Oh good grief it has been a long time since I have shared on here! Way too long!
We wrapped up October with so many fun lessons targeting multiple meaning words, conversational skills, predicting, sentence expansion, articulation skills, and story comprehension.
My kids have been asking all month when we could use the “Would You Rather” question cards. (I was teasing them by having them displayed!) They were so happy this week when we used them. The weather was so nice so we also incorporated movement activities outside while asking and answering. I love this activity because it promotes critical thinking and gives them practice explaining their reasoning. They also have to predict what my answer will be! It is so versatile that I use it across K-5 and with articulation, language, and fluency students.
It’s a FREEBIE, so f you need something fun to end the month with, check it out. You can print it (on orange, purple, and bright green paper), cut it, and use it…no color ink and very little prep required!
I was so thankful for the prep work I had done on the functional communication song & story boards. I was able to pair those with some existing communication boards, crafts, and literacy lessons to complete my October lessons for several co-taught, push-in, and pull-out groups.
I am spending some time tomorrow to prepare all of my November boards. Here is a peek and what those look like:
I have been involved in such a special collaboration this year with general ed and special ed…I am looking forward to sharing more about that soon! Enjoy the festivities tomorrow ~ Happy Halloween!
